December Events Focus on Aging Experience

Two opportunities await South Central Indiana citizens interested in the aging experience.

When Did I Get Old? Reflections on Aging Today, a one-hour documentary on the aging experience in Indiana will reach local audiences on Friday, Dec. 18, 10 pm and Sunday, Dec. 20, 5 pm on WTIU Public Television, the Indiana University public TV station. The program was producted by WFYI TV, Indianapolis, with support from the Center on Aging and Community, IIDC, and other partners, including U. of Indy Center for Aging and Community and the Daniels Fund of Denver, CO. The program features many Bloomington contributions and personalities, inluding Center Director Phil Stafford and the local "old farts" group (not to be missed).

Elderburbia: Aging with a Sense of Place Book Signing. Center Director and author Phil Stafford, invites friends to a signing for his new book (Praeger 2009) at Borders Bookstore in Bloomington (2634 East Third - Eastland Plaza), Sunday, Dec. 20, 1 - 3 pm. Books will be discounted for this event.
