Aging in Place: Creating Livable Communities for Older Hoosiers

Registration will soon open for an exciting two-day, intensive workshop for planners, government officials, aging network practitioners, and citizen advocates interested in creating livable "communities for a lifetime."  Sponsored by the Indiana Association for Community Economic Development, the workshop is developed and offered by Phil Stafford, Ph.D., Director of the Center on Aging and Community, Indiana University. Featured speakers will include architect/planner Zach Benedict of Morrison Kattman Menze, Inc.; Duane Etienne, President Emeritus of CICOA Aging and In Home Solutions; Deborah McCarty, Director of the Back Home in Indiana Alliance, and Irene Wegner, Associate State Director, Community Outreach, Indiana AARP.

The workshop will be held in Indianapolis on Sept. 13 and 14, 2010. Fees and registration information will be posted soon at the IACED website.
